Hepworth Wakefield

Wakefield

The newly opened Hepworth Wakefield is Yorkshire's landmark gallery for visual arts.

This stunning building, designed by David Chipperfield Architects, now shows a unique collection of sculptures by Barbara Hepworth - one of the most important sculptors of the 20th Century, who was born and grew up in Wakefield.

With over 1,600 square-metres of gallery spaces, The Hepworth Wakefield is the largest purpose-built exhibition space outside London and brings together Wakefield's art collection and exhibitions by major contemporary artists.
